Avranche Le mont St Michel

I love this shot. The shadows play an interesting contrast to the brilliant sun, and the timing of day add to the dimension that it had been a long and weary day for this man. Although, I would have waited for longer shadows to enhance that effect; but still, a great shot nonetheless.

I would also maybe try a narrower depth of field to accomplish a more wistful effect on the subject. Of course, I'm kind of biased towards a narrow depth of field--I love using that effect and use it in my own photography quite a bit.

Was this staged? If so, maybe even have him looking up at the sun, or off in the distance to enhance the weariness of his day
